Delroy Lindsay
Managing Partner
As Managing Partner of ACM and co-founded Capital Partners in 2003, Delroy has a track record of implementing major projects, as well as undertaking mergers and acquisitions, Rights Issues and IPO’s. He started his career in finance with the Midland Bank in the UK; later he was the founder, Chairman and CEO of the Corporate Group of companies; which included investments in retail, merchant and investment banking, and insurance; hotels, radio, newspaper and industrial interests. Started with an initial investment of USD 5 million in 1990 grew to over a billion dollars in assets by 1998. He co-founded with Gordon “Butch” Stewart, Jamaica’s second daily newspaper "Jamaica Observer" and was its first Chairman for the initial five years of its operation and development; With Dr. Larry Mansfield, he co-authored "A Policy Framework for Economic Development in Jamaica".
Delroy has extensive international, public and private sector experiences, having worked in the public sector as a Diplomat in Jamaica’s High Commission, (Embassy), in the UK, and as Desk Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jamaica, and later transferred to the Ministry of Industry & Commerce rising to acting Director of Research and Planning. In 1986, he was appointed Executive Director of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica, (PSOJ), an organization he later led (1994-6), as its youngest President. In 1990, he was a member of Prime Minister Michael Manley’s private/public sector delegation to meet with President George H. W. Bush to discuss regional political, economic and trade issues.
He served as chairman and director of several public companies and voluntary organizations and in 1993, was awarded The Keys to the City of Petersburg, Virginia, USA, by Mayor Roslyn Dance.
Delroy holds both B.Sc. and Master’s Degrees from The University of London, United Kingdom.
